  1. Had a Stihl dealership in Lincolnton, NC tell me that Stihl never made an 021 chainsaw. This was two gentleman in their service department. I told them they didn’t know about there own products and should study the history of Stihl chainsaws. I own one and know better.

  2. I’m looking for fuel tank and carburetor parts for a 1969 saw. Where can vintage saw parts be found? It was dropped, and before that, it was the best chainsaw I ever used. It’s big, heavy, and sounds like a big dirt bike. I don’t have the make at this time, just looking where and how to get parts for the old beast.

    • Tom, eBay is going to be your best bet for saw parts. Also, if you’re on Facebook, you might have some luck on their “marketplace” or better yet, joining a group page dedicated to buying and selling Stihl parts.

      Best of luck,
      Reggie

  3. Did Stihl ever make a MS391 pro? with a decompression button? Or just the farm and ranch MS391? Ive never heard of a MS391pro but a guy has one for sale and is telling me its a pro because of the decompression button. Is this true or is he full of s***?

      • Thanks Dan. I just read your email. I acquired my 011 AVT a few years ago after a friend of mine’s mother passed away and my wife was helping her clean out her house. She and her husband had no use for a chain saw so during the clean out she asked me if I wanted it (among other things). I already had a chain saw but it was running very poorly, if at all. The 011 AVT was not running at all after many years (decades) of non-use. I took it home and stared working on it. I found dry and broken fuel lines among other problems. The chain oiler also needed work. I finally got it fixed and found this little saw was a great little saw. It starts and runs very well every time I use it for pruning, small tree removal and cutting cord wood for my fireplace. I believe it will outlive me. Thanks for the info about the “AVT”.

  5. Still can’t find any information on the MS 365. It has a decompression valve so must be on the top end. I really need to know which other model’s parts will fit. Any info?
