With features like a decompression valve for easier starts, adjustable oiler, and anti-vibration system, it’s designed for serious users who need performance, durability, and ease of use.

  • Benett said, “620P 7 years for me still strong as the day I took it out of the box…”
  • Arnold said, “620 an 2511 hands down the best ECHO saws.”
  • Lee said, “I’ve owned many brands of saws over my cutting career of 49 years, and I gotta say the CS-620p is by far my favorite saw I’ve ever owned.”

Matt said:

Imho the best Echo’s ever made.

I pay my bills with tree work and I look forwards to any job that’s 2ft or under circumference cause that means I’m running 620 and 2511 every time.

Jay said:

I like the 620p for everyday land clearing with 18-20 bars. I bring the 7310 in with 32” bar for big stuff. It’s twice as loud and heavier.

Jim said:

Used the 620pw every day at work for tree removals and stock with a simple muffler mod, it pulls a 24” bar like it’s a 70cc saw.

So dead nuts reliable and easy to get along with.

2. ECHO CS-590 Timberwolf

  • 59.8 cc
  • 2.98 hp/ 2.2 kW
  • 6 kg / 13.2 lbs
  • 16 – 24″ bar

The Timberwolf is probably ECHO’s best-known chainsaw.

Many believe it’s better than the Husqvarna Rancher and STIHL Farm Boss chainsaws, some of which have the same power output.

  • Marty said, “I have two 590s: one with a 20-inch bar another with a 24. Both work very well for the past 10 years.”
  • Ty said, “Put a 32″ bar on my ported 590. It pulls it very well now.”
  • Aaron said, “590 is a great bucking saw.”
  • Luuk said, “The ECHO 7310P [is the best], though I really love the Timberwolf for lighter work.”

Cory said:

I have three 4910s and two 590s. 4910 is great bucket saw until I get to bigger cuts. A lot lighter than 590. 590 great on ground cutting and firewood.

Chuck said:

You can go visit your local independent ECHO Dealer and buy either a 18” or 20” bar from them.

You can use the 24” bar when felling. Then for basic limbing and firewood cutting switch back to the 18” or 20”.

3. ECHO CS-355T

Brian said:

Love my CS-355T. I do tree work every day.

The 2511 is a good saw too less power but way lighter.

And JD replied:

I second Brian.

I did a few mods on mine and damn near runs with my 540 Mark 3. And I don’t mean porting, there’s a couple videos online with some modifications you can do that really increase the power.

It’s not the lightest thing in the world but I keep by my dump trailer to chop stuff up and it does it with ease.

Mark Eaton said:

355t [is best], mine has had 0 issues in 4yrs with heavy use.

Beats MS 201 TC and T540 xp in operation cost. Best bang for your buck!

I muffler modded it and took out the air intake baffle, and tuned it to 14k.

10min job. I have a 14” on it.

Kevin said:

Best bang is still CS355T with a 14″ bar.

36cc just eats especially at $389.

CS2511T or TN (nano chain) with a 12″ bar is awesome and lightweight and works great at $509.

4. ECHO CS-2511T

light echo chainsaw

VIEW ON AMAZON →

  • 25 cc
  • 1.27 hp / 0.9 kW
  • 2.3 kg / 5.2 lbs
  • 12 or 14″ bar

The ECHO CS-2511T is a top-handle chainsaw renowned for being the lightest gas-powered chainsaw in North America, weighing just 5.2 lbs (dry weight).

Equipped with a 25.0 cc professional-grade 2-stroke engine, it delivers approximately 1.27 horsepower. This model is designed for arborists and professionals requiring a compact, maneuverable saw for tasks like pruning and limbing.

Key features include a spring-assist starting system, digital ignition, automatic adjustable oiler, and a G-Force Engine Air Pre-Cleaner to extend air filter life. Available with 12″ or 14″ bar lengths, the CS-2511T combines lightweight design with robust performance for efficient operation in tight spaces.

  • Jimmy said, “The local tree service companies have been using the Echo 2511T, they’re quite impressive.”
  • Jesse said, “Love my 2511t. Love it even more now that I modded it. Starts easier and has significantly more power.”
  • Harry said, “I have a 620p but my 2511t is my favorite.”

John:

I’ve been using a 251T for three years now and I love the thing. Smallest and lightest saw echo makes.

No, it’s not a powerhouse and I only run a 12″ bar, but the thing is used 5-6 days a week and does everything asked if it.

I used to climb and I loved it for that, but after back surgery, I do bucket work now.

Jim said:

Love my 2511. It gets better with every tank used. Not as powerful as my 540XP but damn sure is a lot lighter and works great.

Rich said:

The biggest advantage of a 2511 is the weight.

At 61 I’m still climbing and I appreciate the lighter weight over the little bit of power that the 355 has over it.

5. ECHO CS-7310P

ON HOME DEPOT →

  • 73.5 cc
  • 5.6 hp / 4.18 kW
  • 6.7 kg / 14.8 lbs
  • 20 -32″ bars

The ECHO CS-7310P is ECHO’s most powerful chainsaw in North America, engineered for professional-grade performance in demanding tasks like felling large trees and heavy-duty logging.

Key components include a magnesium crankcase and sprocket cover for durability, a four-stage air filtration system to extend engine life, and a decompression valve for easier starts.

The saw also offers an automatic, adjustable clutch-driven oiler that operates only when the chain is moving, reducing oil consumption. Available with bar lengths ranging from 20″ to 32″, the CS-7310P is designed for professionals who require reliability and high performance in challenging environments.

  • Matthew said, “Love my 7310!”
  • Dylan said, “They are the most reliable saw you can buy in its category.”
  • William said, “They must not be too bad because I rarely see one for sale.”
  • Jordan said, “I have one and it will last a long long time. Get it ported and it will rip.”

Cory said:

The 7310 and 4310 have the best air filtration system on the market. No other brand can compete with it. Proven fact.

Its a fantastic saw with a 24 – 28″ bar in hard woods. It dont quit and has the power of other 70cc class saws stock though.

Clay said:

We’ve sold many since released, zero negative feedback. Best value to performance of all name brands… it’s a great saw.

Pete said:

Excellent, balanced, dependable saw. Took forever too break in but cuts right with the 372 XP till muffler mod. Now it eats ’em up in the big stuff.

Mike said:

Awesome saws. Whoever says it can’t handle a 32 inch bar that it’s rated for, is sadly mistaken.

The oiler keeps up and the saw cuts great. It smokes the Husqvarna 372xp.

Honorable mentions

Those are 5 of the most highly recommended and best-reviewed ECHO saws.

Here are some others that get mentioned a lot.

Cory said:

Back around 2007-2012, I swore I’d never buy Echo saws. I didn’t trust them at all and I talked a lot of trash about them.

Then a friend gave me a CS-400 to use for parts, that supposedly had been straight gassed. Turned out it was perfectly fine. Started using it a lot and it was very impressive.

Now I have 5 Echo saws, a pb-755 blower, and a srm-2620T trimmer, among a lot of Husqvarna equipment.

Echo makes damn good products. Only regret I have is I should have dropped Stihl for Echo a hell of a lot sooner.

Kevin said:

[The ECHO DCS-5000] has been a very good seller so far with alot of Good feedback.

Battery platform is an ECHO owned platform with more cells in it than many other brands. Great price point for the kit.

  • Brett said, “The Echo 352 will always be one of the best saws out there…”
  • Noah said, “Cs-400 best saw on the market no question asked lol.”
  • Jordan said, “I have a 400 and it’s an awesome saw.”
  • RJ said, “Been sayin’ it for years. The 400 is a masterpiece.”
