This is the Dolmar CC Super 117, an epic 87 cc saw that was produced from 1967 to 1973.
At the time of posting, the saw is listed on eBay with seller szabsa76 (pictures and video shared with permission).
This vintage Dolmar chainsaw is listed with the following description:
Vintage Dolmar CC Super 117 chainsaw beautifully restored for sale
I offer for sale the meticulously restored Dolmar CC Super 117 chainsaw shown in the pictures.
It was produced in Germany between 1967 and 1973. 87cc, 5.7 HP.
The saw is in good technical condition, it has a beautiful sound! I replaced the crankshaft seals and the carburetor diaphragms.
It starts nicely, takes turns well, and its lubrication is also perfect.
It comes with a 23-inch armored sword and a .404 chain.
Due to its age, I recommend the saw not for cutting wood, but for collecting.I also ship to the USA, shipping to Europe is cheaper. Please inquire!
There is no warranty or refund.
Here is a video of the saw running.
Introduced in 1967 and built until 1973, the Super 117 was part of Dolmar’s mid‑range line of industrial-grade saws in an era when they dominated Europe’s chainsaw market.

Dolmar, a heritage German brand dating back to the 1920s, was among the first to commercialize chainsaws.
By the 1960s, they were known for engineering sturdy, magnesium-bodied models like the 117. These were prized for being lighter yet robust.
The saw has a rigid handlebar, direct drive, centrifugal clutch, and no chain brake—standard setup for professional use in that era.
These saws are fairly rare and collectible, especially in this condition.
They are valued for their industrial build quality, magnesium casings, and classic Dolmar engineering.
Restored units in good condition can still be used today—just make sure:
- Carburetor is clean and tuned.
- Rubber components (fuel lines, seals) are replaced.
- Chrome bore and piston rings check out for good compression.
- Chain and bar are serviced regularly.
