Here’s another chainsaw restoration project completed by Chris from C.S. Goldman’s Reaper Restorations: it’s the STIHL 045 AVE Super.
He shared that this restoration took almost 60 hours, and you can see more of the process on Facebook.
The STIHL 045 Super was a high-powered pro saw from the late 1970s, essentially a larger-bore version of the standard 045. With an 87 cc engine and roughly 6.1 hp, it was built for heavy timber work and could comfortably run large bars, making it one of STIHL’s serious big-bore saws of the era.
