We learn in the seller’s description that this 200T is not a manufacturer-made NIB or NOS chainsaw (New in Box/New Old Stock), it’s been built from new parts.
The only part of this particular MS 200T that isn’t brand new is the fan-side crankcase, which is instead OEM refurbished and looks very tidy.
The seller claims to have extensive experience with fixing and building saws.
They have detailed a comprehensive list of the new OEM parts used in the assembly, and judging by the pictures, they’ve done a good job.
In this case, the seller is offering a product that is essentially a reassembled or refurbished unit made from genuine parts. This might be as close as possible to a new unit directly from Stihl.
It’s crucial to note that since the chainsaw is not assembled by Stihl, it will not come with the manufacturer’s warranty. It’s always a good idea to communicate with the seller to understand any warranties or guarantees they offer directly before purchase.
