And here are a few comments from the FB groups about the two models and other comparable Husqvarna saws.

3 series are the standard of a great saw, 5 series are a great saw that has better power, fuel economy and antivibe.
I’ve cut around 150 ton aussie hardwood firewood since January this year with a 572xp and 592xp—about 225 ton over the last 12months.
I wouldn’t be mad if they were the 3 series but I definitely prefer the 5s so just depends on how much you want to spend. And what maintenance you want to be able to do yourself.
But no one makes a saw like the 500i. I’m assuming because the research required to make that thing reliable would have cost a fortune. I do like the 500i they are an insane saw light and super powerful.
A little hard on your hands with average antivibe but that doesn’t make a difference if you dont cut for more than a couple hours a day though. But no point getting one if you ever want the ability to work on or diagnose the saw yourself as a user with general knowledge.

592 xp is only saw Husqvarnas got that will hold a light to a 500i.
Limbing timber the STIHL 500i is faster and lighter.

If you’re looking for a fuel injected saw I’d get the 500i it’s an insane saw. 5 series Huskys are junk. The only Husky somewhat comparable would be the 394/395 but i personally don’t think they have the same pep as the 500i.

The 572 and 592 are more durable and dependable saws [than the 500i].

There’s no equivalent. 500i is very light for the power it has.
I think as far as power it’s slightly more than the 572 but in the hand it feels alot lighter and throttle response is superb.
I’d have to look up the specs but from using both brands lots of models. I’d say 572 is the closest but not equivelent.

Unfortunately there is not an equivalent Husqvarna. The 500i stands alone and it doesn’t seem like Husqvarna will have an answer
