Is STIHL still making the MS 260?
STIHL discontinued the MS 260 for most markets in 2011 when it was replaced by the MS 261. I assumed it was no longer being produced everywhere, but I was presented with this post from STIHL on Facebook today (August 2025).

The language is Spanish, and the link led to the STIHL Peru MS 260 listing.
So yes, STIHL is still making the MS 260 Chainsaw.

I’m from Brazil, the MS 260 is still in production today. The MS 361 was unfortunately replaced by the MS 363.
Today’s 260 is most likely being produced in Brazil. You can see the Made in Brazil sticker in the following image.
