This beautiful STIHL 076 restoration was completed by one of our FB followers, Chris Goldman, whose STIHL 051 we also recently shared.
We already have an overview of the 076 here, so we won’t add more information beyond the images.
Chris was told that this 077 AVE is an early model, which are rarer than the later ones. He said, “When they were first released, they had an exhaust cover extension like mine.”

This is a wonderful restoration, and those new model tags really finish it off!
Beautiful work; I had an 075ave with a 36″ bar in the past. For it’s brute size and power, it was a smooth operating saw to me. I wish I still had it, but with my advanced age and health,I probably couldn’t start it,even using the deco button.
