The Husqvarna 385 XP is a professional-level model that, by some accounts, was produced from 2001 – 2003. However, there are reports of it being available for sale up to 2006.

Mine smoked itself in less than a year. The only saw I ever had seize up in a cut, out of thirty plus HUS-STH-JONS. I didn’t bother to fix it because they were all popping, Husqvarna had an engineering issue with that saw!

I bought one when they first come out thought they would be a really, really good saw. But a 372 that’s been worked on a little bit is a lot better solve than the 385, that’s my opinion.
